Khairulazhan: Experience With Harimau Malaya Benefits Me

Selangor FC's no.1 goalkeeper, Khairulazhan Khalid has to the Red Giants’ camp this week to rejoin their teammates to undergo training at the FAS Training Center.

The national goalie has just returned from a friendly match (tier 1) with Harimau Malaya in Jordan recently and has completed his quarantine in Petaling Jaya.

Khairulazhan's return is highly anticipated by the SFC coaching staff, especially in preparation for the remaining TM Malaysia Cup 2021 fixtures which will resume on 30 October.

The experience of playing with the national team as well as the training sessions conducted during the quarantine will be used by Khairulazhan to help the team to face the Malaysia Cup competition which is about a week away.

Speaking to Media Selangor FC, Khairulazhan admitted that the training session with the national squad had helped him a little in his preparations for the return of the Malaysia Cup.

"I feel the experience of training and playing with the national team has helped me a lot to prepare for the Malaysia Cup competition which will begin soon," said Khairulazhan.

"My intention is to help the team perform at a higher level in this competition and I will also give even better than before, God-willing," he added.

Selangor FC will host the visiting Premier League team, Kuching City FC next weekend for the 3rd match of the group stage after collecting one win and loss in the previous two matches.
